Quarterly Report on Traffic Developments

Purpose

Go Safe Labs prepares this quarterly report as part of its efforts to enhance transparency about transport infrastructure, share data that can create new insights, services and tools for public safety, as well as standardize data at the local, state and federal levels to help make decisions faster for the benefit of the public.

This inaugural report provides an overview of the change in size and composition of accident numbers and indicators over the 2020 year, a period that includes the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition it highlights recent developments in 2020 Q4 as pandemic behavior adjusted to a new routine. Future quarterly reports will focus on accident-related data in the previous quarter as the COVID-19 pandemic response continues. 

The appendix of this report contains information about additional resources for data sources, agencies, as well as any reference information used to compile this report.
